Elf False Lashes
After a recent discussion on one of my favourite vegan community facebook groups about vegan cosmetics, I was asked the question " what eyelashes do you use?".
I realised in my response that I hadn't been overly adventurous as yet with my purchases and trials. I Had really been sticking to 'Ardell' using both strips and individual synthetic lashes.
While I truly love them for their quality and affordability, it is also nice to see what else is out there. I decided it was time to try out the elf eyelashes for the sole purpose of knowing if they're "any good" if someone were to ask me so i went and bought one pair.
One morning before the school run, I decided to try them out while already under pressure to get both myself and the children ready for school and the day to come. I knew that under these conditions I would surely be able to write a realistic reflection of the product.
As usual, I cut the strips in half and proceeded to prepare the glue.
I found the strips extremely flexible and easy to manipulate. Once placed correctly I coated my lower lashes with mascara while waiting for the glue to dry and then gave the top a very light coat to blend the natural lashes with the elf strips.
Overall, I will still continue to go back to my favourites on most occasions, but I was delighted with the results of the lashes in this brand and I would highly recommend them as a very affordable option.
Here in Australia, they were priced at $3 from Kmart. Also available on the eyes lips face website for $1.00 USD.
Stay tuned for more vegan lash reviews to come.
