Acne.org Skin care & treatment
I'm yet to buy this for myself in all honesty as I've been busy reviewing a LOT of products lately as well as writing for my readers on TGWC and also a few magazines, but I have had the pleasure of using it a few times courtesy of one of my sisters who uses it and as a result it is now at the top of my ‘to buy list’.
I'm also yet to hear a bad review on this one amongst my circle of influence which counts for something but here is a quick review in case you've been wondering about this brand/product from a third party view.
So far in my personal experience, I've really liked using all of their products. I would say this brand offer fairly decent range of effective products for treating acne prone skin at an mid range, affordable price.
One of the ingredients used by the brand is Benzoyl Peroxide which is a commonly known ingredient for acne treatment. It has been successfully used for the treatment of acne since the 1930’s but what a lot of people don’t know about Benzoyl Peroxide is that it is just as effective to use a lower percentage of just 2.5 as it is to use 10% while still achieving the same results without the discomfort of drying out your skin. Most drug stores offer 5% treatments on the shelf and 10% behind the counter, the 10% being more expensive. Acne.org offer treatment at 2.5% which is pharmaceutical grade, pH balanced, fragrance-free, and dye-free and can be worn together with moisterizer without clumping.
Acne.org also offer a quality AHA+ moisterizer.
Glycolic Acid or AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), which is a powerful exfoliant the helps the skin to rejuvenate by generating new skin cells on the surface therefore revealing an overall smoother, more healthy glow.Like any skin care range, if you are new to something it’s very important to always read the label and follow the directions. A lot of acne skin care and medication can cause the skin to be more sensitive to sunburn so always make sure you use a good broad spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful rays and limit your time in direct sun when new to using these types of products.
Acne.org is vegan friendly and does not test on animals.
